Hey all! So my husband and I have been successful entrepreneurs for almost a decade now. We have shifted our lives a handful of times to pursue whatever our next exciting creative passion has been and it’s all been a wonderful ride.

In the past 2.5 years, we had our first child, and have felt a little trapped in our most recent business. We still love it to a degree, and we still have a lot of potential with it, but it’s just not a passion anymore.

In the past, we would just sell it or stop working on it and start something new from scratch and figure it all out. But now that we have a child, there’s a little resistance because we have this guaranteed income essentially.

We have two big plans for the “next” venture, but we’re stuck in that space where we’re feeling nervous to take the leap when though we do truly believe it would work out holistically successfully (meaning we would be able to work openly and creatively, we know it would be financially successful, and we would have more time with our son.) but of course there’s that tiny voice that goes “but what if it all burns and you fail and you sold the other thing you already had going?”

Any who — any books that hype you up to make a leap that you know will be fulfilling and important?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hey there! It sounds like you’re in a bit of a tough spot, but it’s awesome that you’re looking for ways to pursue your passions and make a positive change in your life. One book that I would recommend checking out is “[The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick)](https://wydgetlabs.com/?red=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fdp%2F1591841666%3F%26tag%3Damznwydget-20%26linkCode%3Dur2%26creative%3D9325%26th%3D1%26language%3Den_US)” by Seth Godin. It’s all about knowing when to persevere and when to let go, which seems like it could be really helpful for your situation.

I hope this helps! Good luck on your next venture!
