Hello everyone,
As the title says, I’m looking for books on a topic I have little to no background with: historical architecture. I have an idea for a story where the protagonist is the fantasy equivalent of a real estate agent for a big bad villain. I’d like to learn more about interesting building techniques and structural features prior to 1900 (any culture/location) to better understand the wants and needs for both characters.
If there are any books that are fantasy adjacent (reviewing fictional lairs and hideouts? I’m really not sure), anything really would be welcome.
